While studying piano and vocal in London (Laine Theatre Arts), and at the Hochschule der Künste Berlin (Piano: Walter Norris; Voice: Catherine Gayer), Anna (originally from Zurich Switzerland) founded the Band with Craig Lees 1992. They were soon touring all around the world (Berlin-Millenium party, Adlon Hotel; several club events in London, Allianz annual parties in Milan, Paris, Rome; VW- top management meeting Lissabon, Golf-Club Dubai, 50 years anniversary Inter Conti Cairo, Daimler-Chrysler Fusion meeting in Marrakesh a.m.m.). Parallel to working with the band, Anna performed in several musicals, such as Cats, Hair, Grease and Beauty and the Beast. Though it seems hard to believe she also studied medicine at the Freie Universität Berlin during the day and was often heard as a singer and solo pianist at night! Those venues included The Marlene Bar Interconti, Harry’s New York Bar Grand Hotel Esplanade, Grand Hotel Berlin and the Atlantic Hotel Kempinski in Hamburg.
Anna was awarded her Doctor of Medicine Degree in November 2003. Her love of music, her extraordinary talent, and a sense of “personal drive” kept her constantly in demand as a professional singer despite a rigorous medical career.
Whether it is a musical aria or a smooth Jazz standard, Anna’s touching voice speaks with a true heart and skill through any style of music.
